Crescent principals Tim Wyrobek and Jeff Taylor each have more than 15 years of experience working with wealthy clients and their families on developing long-range strategies that address goals of capital preservation, business succession and legacy planning.

Tim Wyrobek

Tim Wyrobek is a principal and co-founder of Crescent Wealth Advisory, which he launched in 2016. In 2003, Tim and his partner Jeff Taylor founded Crescent Wealth Management, a high-touch, specialty insurance advisory firm. Previously Tim was a financial planner with Lincoln Financial Advisors, where he was recognized with the Achievers Club award for his outstanding work in wealth management. He began his career as a financial advisor with John Hancock Life Insurance Company.

Tim has been was honored as a Five Star Wealth Manager by Atlanta Magazine (2008, 2009, 2012, 2016), profiled in Forbes (2010), and in Global Registry’s “Who’s Who” in the Financial Industry (2006 and 2007). During his career, he has achieved numerous qualifications for “Court of the Table” and “Top of the Table” of the Million Dollar Round Table, The Premier Association of Financial Professionals®, a global, independent association of more than 43,000 of the world's leading life insurance and financial services professionals from more than 500 companies in 67 countries. Tim attended the University of Georgia. 

He is a member of the Financial Planning Association of Georgia, the Association for Advanced Life Underwriting (AALU) and an active supporter of MedShare, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and Wounded Warrior Project.

Jeff Taylor

Jeff Taylor is a principal and co-founder of Crescent Wealth Advisory, which he launched in 2016. Senior Team

Ed Friedman
Director, Eastern Division
Ed Friedman* and the relationship management team are responsible for the ongoing partnerships with the Dynasty Network advisors. A securities industry veteran for nearly 30 years, he formerly was Managing Director of Business Development and Managing Director of Advisor Development at Hightower Advisors. Prior, he held various positions at Morgan Stanley, including Director of the Wealth Advisor Program. In that role, his group providing training and support to the firm’s top advisors. He also served on the Management Committee of the private client business and was a guest speaker on development and compliance topics. Ed holds a BA from Rutgers University and is a graduate of the Executive Education Program at the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton. He is an avid golfer and former tournament pool player.
Matthew Marsh
Director of Investment Solutions
Matt Marsh* is responsible for delivering investment solutions to Dynasty’s Advisory Firms. He consults with network teams on the design and implementation of available investment solutions across the Dynasty TAMP, including portfolio model management and rebalancing, SMA and UMA solutions, hedge funds, private equity, and capital markets. Frequently in the field engaging with network advisors, Matt also delivers the thoughts and rationale of the Dynasty Investment Committee and the Dynasty Select Model Portfolios. Before joining Dynasty, Matt spent 11 years at Morgan Stanley and its predecessor firms. Most recently he was the Southwest Regional Manager for the Consulting Group, responsible for all advisory sales across 1,900 financial advisors in that five-state region. Matt holds the Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA®) designation and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certificant. Matt received an MBA from Emory University (Goizueta School of Business) and a BBA in Finance from Loyola Marymount University.
Joseph Dursi
Director of Investments Platform
Joseph Dursi* is a member of Dynasty Financial Partners, LLC (“Dynasty”) and, through Crescent Wealth Advisory's strategic relationship with Dynasty, functions as Crescent Wealth Advisory’s Director of Investments Platform, In this capacity, Mr. Dursi provides assistance with selecting various asset managers.

Joseph Dursi is the Director of Investment Platforms and is also responsible for leading Investment Solutions for Dynasty’s East Coast Division. Joe was most recently the Head of Investment Solutions for Deutsche Bank Wealth Management in the Americas, responsible for identifying and creating unique investment solutions for ultra-high-net-worth clients.


Previously, Mr. Dursi served as the Head of Portfolio Consulting at Barclays Wealth Americas where he and his team were responsible for developing tactical investment solutions through asset allocation modeling and product selection for ultra-high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and endowments/foundations. Mr. Dursi joined Barclays in September 2008 as part of the organization’s acquisition of Lehman Brothers’ Private Investment Management business in the Americas.

Mr. Dursi holds a BBA, Summa Cum Laude, from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA from the Stern School of Business at New York University, where he was a designated Stern Scholar. He lives in Rockville Centre, New York with his wife and their daughter and is an avid sports fan.
Javier Rivero
Senior Vice President, International Division
Javier Rivero* is a member of Dynasty Financial Partners, LLC (“Dynasty”) and, through Crescent’s strategic relationship with Dynasty, functions as Crescent Wealth Advisory’s Senior Consultant. In this capacity, Javier provides assistance with new business opportunities and collaborates on any operational challenges.  Prior to joining Dynasty, Javier served as President of Brickell Global Markets. Previously he was a Vice President, Complex Administrative Manager at Merrill Lynch in the LatAm division. Javier received his BS in Finance from Kean University in Union, NJ. In his spare time, Javier enjoys boating, fishing, travelling and spending time with his family.
Scott Welch
Chief Investment Officer
Scott Welch* is a member of Dynasty Financial Partners, LLC (“Dynasty”) and, through Crescent’s strategic relationship with Dynasty, functions as Crescent Wealth Advisory’s Chief Investment Officer. In this capacity, Scott provides macroeconomic and investment analysis and commentary, is a member of Dynasty’s Investment and Due Diligence Committees, and co-manages Dynasty’s model investment portfolios. He also sits on the Investment Committees of several Dynasty network firms.

Prior to joining Dynasty, Scott was a Co-Founder and the Chief Investment Officer of Fortigent, LLC, a provider of outsourced investment research, technology, and practice management solutions to RIAs and banks that target high net worth investors. Prior to Fortigent, Scott was the Head of Investment Research & Strategy at Lydian Wealth Management, a multi-billion dollar RIA catering to ultra-high net worth families.

Prior to joining Fortigent and its predecessor RIA in 1998, Scott spent more than 12 years on Wall Street, where he focused on capital markets, corporate finance, and derivatives. He is a frequent speaker on the topics of wealth management, portfolio management, and the macroeconomic and investment landscape, and he is an award-winning author of numerous articles that have appeared in a variety of industry trade journals.

Scott holds the Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA®) designation and earned the Investment Strategist, Advanced Investment Strategist, and Alternative Investments Certificates from the Investment Management Consultants Association (IMCA). He sits on the Board of Directors of IMCA, the Advisory Board of the ABA Wealth Management & Trust Conference, and the Editorial Advisory Boards of the Journal of Wealth Management and the IMCA Investments & Wealth Monitor. 

Scott earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the University of California at Irvine and an MBA with a concentration in Finance from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
