Drew Butler joins Crescent Wealth Advisory as Director of Sports Consulting Group after 3 years as the EVP - Collegiate at Icon Source, an industry leading NIL (name, image, and likeness) marketplace that facilitated the first ever NIL endorsement deal in college sports history between the Cavinder Twins and Boost Mobile. Butler helped Icon Source grow to over 15,000 student-athletes, forged 30+ institutional & collective partnerships, and brought millions of dollars of deal flow to student-athletes across the country. Butler has been involved in the NIL landscape since 2019, positioning himself as a thought-leader within the ever-changing and fast-evolving name, image, and likeness industry.

Prior to Icon Source, Drew had a 5-year career in the National Football League, punting for the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Arizona Cardinals. A graduate from The University of Georgia, Butler was a two-time First Team Academic All-American and one of 11 finalists for the William V. Campbell Trophy (National Scholar Athlete of the Year). Butler was also named a First Team All-American and All-SEC Punter, and won the Ray Guy Award in 2009, awarded annually to the best punter in college football. After graduating, Butler began his masters degree in Sport Management at UGA.

While in the NFL, Butler created the popular college football podcast, Punt & Pass, which he still hosts along with other on-air broadcasting roles, including being a regular host on the biggest sports radio station in Atlanta, 92.9 The Game’s “The Steakhouse.” Drew brings his background and unique perspective to risk management to Crescent’s Sports Consulting Group, leading through education, experience, and knowledge of the growing and complex market surrounding student and pro athletics.

Butler is on the Sports Advisory Board at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and is active within the local community. He enjoys playing golf, following all things NFL and College Football, and spending time with his family. He lives in the Atlanta, GA area with his wife Jacquelyn and daughters Bridget, Cara, and Olivia.
